Matrescence educator, women's life cycle guide & host of the Dear Mama Project.

Hi lovely,

My name is Nikki McCahon, I’m a Matrescence Educator, Women’s Life Cycle Guide and host of the popular education podcast the Dear Mama Project.

As a matrescence educator, I help you understand the stages and phases of matrescence and support you to lean into motherhood as a catalyst for your own personal and spiritual transformation.

I am fascinated by transformation and cycles and I weave my knowledge of women's life cycles through my work to help you understand this part of your story within the context of your life journey as a woman.

I have over 10 years experience in adult learning as an instructional designer, and use my knowledge of adult learning methodology to translate the latest matrescence research into practical and useful training that supports women through this important rite of passage.

My programs use evidence based strategies such as self-awareness, self compassion and mindfulness which I blend with ancient feminine wisdom, rites of passage technology, archetypes and ritual. The goal of my work is to help you embrace matrescence as an opportunity for your own personal and spiritual growth and support you to overcome the inevitable challenges that arise during transitions and transformation.

I truly believe that through motherhood we have the opportunity to strip back the layers and discover and reclaim more authentic versions of ourselves. I don’t want any woman to miss this opportunity.

As one of a small number of practitioners blazing a new trail for matrescence education, my own training has been broad and holistic, encompassing academic study, research and practical application ‘in the trenches of motherhood’.
